Your privacy matters to us. This page explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1.Who we are

This policy explains how NELLYS CAKES PASTRY PREPARING L.L.C, trading as Nelly’s Cakes ("we", "us"), collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit nellys-cakes.ae, place an order, create an account or contact us. We are based at Shop 12, Dorra Bay Tower, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, Dubai Marina, Dubai, UAE.

2.Information we collect

  • Order and delivery details: your name, email address and phone number, the delivery address and map location, delivery date and time, the recipient’s name and phone number if you are sending a gift, any birthday card message, and the items and amounts ordered.
  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password. Your password is stored only as a salted, one-way scrambled value, so we cannot read it.
  • Enquiries: what you tell us by email or WhatsApp, and the answers you give in our Create Your Cake questionnaire (occasion, date, guest numbers, venue, style, colours and similar), which are sent to us through WhatsApp.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe, Tabby and Ziina. We never see or store your full card details. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, its amount and a payment reference.
  • Website usage: our own simple analytics record which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and which products are viewed or added to the cart. This is not linked to your name. With your consent only, we also use the Meta Pixel (see Cookies below).
  • On your device: your browser remembers your cart, saved favourites and chosen language, and sets a sign-in cookie if you log in to your account.

3.How we use your information

  • To take payment, prepare, deliver and invoice your order.
  • To contact you about your order by email, phone or WhatsApp, including order confirmations, invoices and delivery coordination.
  • To create and manage your account and show you your past orders.
  • To answer your questions and arrange quotes, tastings and consultations.
  • To keep our website secure, prevent fraud and improve how the site works.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4.Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:

  • Payment providers: Stripe, Tabby and Ziina, to process your payment.
  • Google: the address you type or pin on the map is sent to Google Maps to find the location and calculate the delivery distance and fee.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): if you accept marketing cookies, the Meta Pixel tells Meta which pages you view and which actions you take (such as adding to the cart or buying), so we can measure our ads and show Nelly’s Cakes to people who may like it. Nothing is sent to Meta unless you accept.
  • Email delivery: our email provider, to send you order confirmations and invoices.
  • Website hosting and storage: our hosting provider, which stores orders and account records securely.
  • WhatsApp: when you message us on WhatsApp, or we message you, WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply. A messaging service also alerts our team when a new order arrives.
  • Delivery: your name, phone number and delivery address are given to the driver delivering your order.
  • Authorities: we may disclose information where required by law or by a competent authority in the UAE.

5.Cookies and similar technologies

  • We use only what the site needs to work: browser storage for your cart, favourites and language, and a sign-in cookie for logged-in accounts. With your consent only, we use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies so Facebook and Instagram can measure our ads and show them to relevant people. You can accept or decline in the banner, and change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Third-party services such as Google Maps and the payment providers may set their own cookies on their own pages.

6.Transfers outside the UAE

  • Some of our service providers process information outside the UAE. Where that happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate security and data protection standards.

7.How long we keep it

  • We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle complaints and meet our tax and accounting obligations, which under UAE law means keeping invoices and related records for a number of years. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete the account. Website usage statistics are kept in aggregate form.

8.Security

  • We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), scrambled passwords and restricted access to our staff dashboard. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.Your rights

In line with applicable UAE data protection law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your information or your account, except where we must keep it by law (for example tax records);
  • stop using your information for a particular purpose, or withdraw a consent you have given.
  • To make a request, email info@nellys-cakes.ae. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within a reasonable time.

10.Children

  • Our website and online ordering are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

11.Changes to this policy

  • We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed, and the current version is always available on this page.
