Who is Nelly?
Long before opening a bakery, Nelly’s skills were shaped in the kitchen at home, where she first learned the art of traditional cake baking from her mother, friends and family. Those early lessons instilled in her a love for creating something special out of simple ingredients, and a joy in sharing it with others.
What started in Nelly’s kitchen grew into something far bigger than she ever imagined. With each new order her reputation spread, and her cakes began to travel far beyond her local community. That growing demand inspired the creation of Nelly’s Cakes, a bakery built on the same passion and care that guided her from the very beginning.
At her core, Nelly is still that same passionate baker, and she believes every cake should be made with care and love.
From a passion project to a bakery
It began as a small passion project: baking alongside her husband Grigor for friends, neighbours and family. Word of mouth spread, cakes grew in size, orders came in from different cities, and before long Nelly and Grigor opened the doors to their very first bakery.
Today Nelly’s Cakes has crafted more than 17,500 creations for clients from over 75 nationalities, each one designed with attention to detail and made to reflect the joy of the occasion. From intimate family gatherings to large celebrations, it has become a trusted name for those who want their cake to be as unforgettable as the moment itself.
With clients across The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland, and now here in the UAE, Nelly’s Cakes keeps growing while staying true to its mission: to provide not just a cake, but the cake, one that will be remembered, photographed and cherished long after the celebration is over.

Nelly, Grigor and their team have spent years refining the perfect recipe for both the sponge and the fillings. The sponge is light, fluffy and carefully crafted to pair beautifully with a wide variety of tastes, and every cake is made to be a true pleasure to eat, the kind that leaves you wishing for a second slice.
You can combine up to three different fillings in every tier. They can all be the same for a smooth, consistent taste, or completely different for variety in every slice. Every celebration is unique, so flavours are fully customisable: if you have a request beyond the menu, we will happily source ingredients or create a bespoke combination.

The wedding experience
Your wedding cake journey begins with a private flavour tasting, where each bite is an opportunity to discover what feels perfect for you. In a personal design consultation we sit together and bring your vision to life, advising on combinations that complement each other beautifully and on design elements that enhance the look of your cake. Nothing is too ambitious, every idea is welcome, and the result is a wedding cake created entirely around you.
On your wedding day our team makes sure every moment around the cake is handled with care. The delivery and every practical detail are discussed in advance, so you can enjoy peace of mind. We assist during the cake ceremony, guide the photo moments and support you when it is time to cut the cake.
